ANDERSON AND BARNAVELDT SECURE THEIR PLACE AT THE O2
By John Lowe, May 8 2015 07:03AM
Raymond Van Barnaveldt carried on his remarkable form to come from the bottom of the Premier League table a few weeks ago to reach the top 4 and secure his place in the play off's at the O2 Arena in london in 2 weeks time, his match against James Wade in Newcastle last night finished 6-6 and the 1 point gained was enough to give Barney the chance to defend his title and who know's on his present form he could well be the winner for the second year in a row.
Phil Taylor fighting to stay in with a chance of making the play off's for a record 10 times in a row could not find his form of old to beat Gary Anderson, there was only one break of throw and that was enough to seal a 7-5 victory for the Scott..
Adrian Lews needed to win against Michael Van Gerwen and he did everything asked of him averaging 108 and crossing the line 7-5 winner, but he needed Barney to lose if he was to get one more chance next week and it wasn't to be.
Dave Chisnall averaged 104 against Stephen Bunting and came out an easy 7-1 winner, Bunting has blow hot and cold in the Premier League unfortunately for him it's the later that hasbeen more predominant.
The final fixture in this seasons Premier League before the play off's will be at The Brighton Centre next Thursday, Chisnall and MVG will go head to head to decide who will top the table, it should be the match of the championship, Barney will play Bunting and Anderson will take on Lewis, we will then know the final pairings in the play off's.
