Anderson - Newton Down
By John Lowe, Apr 5 2013 07:50AM
After week nine in the PL, the bottom of the table remained the same, all bottom four players losing, this means Gary Anderson and Wes Newton, will drop out of the league, leaving the top 8 players to play each other once more. Anderson never looked like beating in form Wade, losing 7-3, Newton did put up a fight against Hamilton, but went down 7-5, the two other players fighting for survival, Whitlock and Lewis, will remain in the league, but face a battle to make headway into the top four, Whitlock continued his miserable form, averaging only 88 in a match that michael Van Gerwen won quite easlily, Lewis put up a good display against Barney, and the 7-2 score line does not reflect the true game, in the non relagation battle match, Taylor lost 7-4 to Robert Thornton, Thornton averaged over 100 yet again, proving he is not out of his depth in this company, the table is tight at the top, MVG, Wade, Barney, all on 12 points, Thornton on 11, and Taylor on 10, the battle is well and truly on.
