PREMIER LEAGUE IN BELFAST
By John Lowe, Feb 26 2015 10:24AM
The fourth week of the Premier Legue will be held Belfast Ireland and the turn out is expected to be huge, second place in the table Dave Chisnall opens the nights play against Kim Huybrects who is at the bottom of the table, Chisnall is finding his confidence and will be a handful for Huybrechts who is desperate to get a foothold on the ladder, with this in mind I am going for a Chisnall win. Gary Anderson takes on James Wade in the second match, on paper this should be a good game but Gary's missed doubles came back to haunt him last week against MVG when he missed 21 attempts, if he can return to his consistent form that brought him the World Championship he can just win the match, Anderson for me. The player in top form Michael Van Gerwen who has won and won in 2015 notably 4 of the UK Open Qualifiers will play Adrian Lewis, both players are quick in fact very fast, many say they feed off each others style of play, maybe that's true but the problem is one break of throw gives so much advantage that it can be catch me if you can, this game will be all about quality finishing, both are capable of that but MVG's present form persuades me this match is his. Stephen Bunting will be keen to show that he is capable of competing in this company, tonight he will face Barney who is not playing at his best and when he does it is only for short spells, this game is hard to pick a winner and a draw would be a good choice, but as you well know I dislike draws so much I am going to get off the fence and go for Bunting. Phil Taylor walks out in the last match of the night to what I am sure will be a noisy reception, back to his best in Wigan last week for UK Qualifier no 5 when he raced through the field with an average of 103, he will face Peter Wright who at the moment can do anything but produce the right result in the PL, this will be a tough night for Peter facing Taylor is never easy but when your exisitence in the Premier League is looking bleak panic must play a part, the pressure to win will be the deciding factor and that's why I take Taylor to win.
