Taylor and Hamilton Gone
By John Lowe, Dec 22 2013 11:58AM
The list of top players out of the Ladbroke.com World championship is growing rapidly, the latest of the elite in the sport, the reigning champion Phil Taylor and now Andy Hamilton. Specualtion among the bookmakers is now favouring MVG to lift the title, the tipsters on SKY TV have not enjoyed a good event either, those left in the event all know this their chnce to pick up the biggest prize in the sport, not only the magnificent trophy, but a life changing amount of money, and a place in the Premier League of Darts, some of the players have experienced winning the world title, non more so that Ritchie Burnett, who dumped Andy Hamilton out in the last 32 with a powerful display, it may be 11 years since he won the title, but he know's what it will take to win again, of course MVG, Lewis and Barney are all eager to toe the oche and reach the final stages, for us the viewers it is one of the most interesting championships for a long time, we are all going with our favourite player/s left in, I like the look of Lewis, his smooth throwing against Dennis Smith was quite superb, and he appears to have slowed down a little giving him time to consider all options, will he be able to keep it up when the real prsure is on ? we can only wait and see. There are some very interesting matches ahead, and more heartache for many, it's game on at Ally Pally.
