The CE OIL & GAS Arena, they could hardly call in anything else in the Granite City that is the centre of UK Oil, plays host to week 11 of the PL and the fixture list is once again very interesting, first on Dave chisnall v Phil Taylor, Chisnall looking to be at his best last week, Taylor at his worst, Bunting will play in form Lewis, Wade takes on Anderson who will be expected to play well in his native Scotland, Barney v MVG is an all Dutch affair, then Taylor will play his second match against Bunting. For me all eyes will be on Taylor after last weeks poor show, will he return to form or is he feeling the strain of being at the top for so long ? all will be revealed at 7pm SKY Sports.

World Youth Champion Keegan Brown is showing he is capable of competing on the full PDC Tour, he finished a reputable semi-finalist at the Barnsley Metrodome on Sunday, beaten by the eventual winner of the PDC Championship Adrian Lewis by 6 legs to 3. Keegan had earlier defeated Michal Van Gerwen by 6 legs to 5. The day however belonged to Lewis in fact the weekend of championship tournaments starting on Friday belonged to Lewis winning on Friday, Sunday and losing in the final on Saturday, all in all a good weekends work and refreshing to know he has the fight and the game to beat the very best on a consistant level. Ireland's Brendan Dolan reached Sunday's final narrowly losing to Lewis 6-5.

Michael Van Gerwen came raoring back to his best on Saturday after losing in the Players Championship to Cristo Reyes on Friday, he took out Luke Woodhouse 6-2 Ross Twell 6-3 and Jamie Lewis 6-3 to win through his board, he then went up a gear winning back to back matches 6-1 against Steve Beaten and Ken Thomas, Peter Wright was next in the semi-final, another 6-3 victory booked his place in the final against Adrian Lewis who had won Fridays Players Championship, Lewis's dream of making it two in a row was quickly destroyed as MVG won in style 6 legs to 1 and added another £10,000 to his ever increasing prize fund.

Dave Chisnall played 2 matches in the Premier League week 10 in Sheffield and he won both to go within 1 point of MVG at the top of the table, in his first match against Gary Anderson he averaged 106 to win 7-4, his second match against James Wade was even better when he averaged 114 and almost whitewashed the left hander winning 7-1. Wade earlier loast to Adrian Lewis 7-4 making his night miserable to say the least. Phil Taylor looked anything but the player who has won 16 world championship titles playing what I beleive was his worst match on TV in decades, with an average of 86 and just 18 scores of 100 and more he lost 7-2 to a very surprised Barnaveld. Michael Van Gerwen kept his unbeaten run going beating Stephan Bunting 7-5 in a close match, bunting played very well but remains bottom of the table with 7 points.
Chisnall celebrates the double in Sheffiled.

The Betway Premier League visits the Motorpoint Arena in the Steel City of Sheffield tonight, the league now reduced to 8 players after the elimination of Kim Huybrechts and Peter Wright will start the fight to decide who will finish in the top 4 places and ultimately play at the O'2 Arena in London on May 21st to decide the 2015 Champion. Dave Chisnall will play 2 matches tonight first against world champion Gary Anderson and later James Wade, should he win both he would go top of the table, he is currently 2 points behind Michael Van Gerwen who sits on top of the table, of course there is no guarantee MVG will beat Stephen Bunting tonight but on current form he is a good bet. Over 7,000 tickets have been sold at the Motorpoint for tongiht show which on paper should be one of the best, I don't like saying this but it also looks like a possible night of draws, all 5 matches look to be tight if all 8 players are on form:
Lewis v Wade
Anderson v Chisnall
Taylor v Barney
Bunting v MVG
Chisnall v Wade

Michael Van Gerwen won the German Darts Masters in Munich defeating Scotland's John Henderson in the final 6-5 and the £25,000 prize money pushed his PDC ranking table over the One Million Pound mark in money won over a two year ranking period, only the second player in the sport to acheive this feat, the other being Phil Taylor. The win also means he remains unbeaten in all events in 2015 following the world championship, Henderson had to qualify to play in the event and he proved a worthy finalist, he beat Cristo Reyes and Michael Smith to reach Mondays final stages, in the top 8 he whitewashed Andrew Gilding and followed with a 6-1 win over Brendan Dolan averaging 107, he put Adrian Lewis out in the semi final 6-4. MVG looked to be cruising in the final when he won the first 3 legs but Henderson fired back and won the next 3, MVG opened up a 2 leg lead only to see Henderson once again draw level and take the match to the deciding leg, MVG had the advantage of throwing first in this leg and he used it to good effect firing a 14 dart and taking a great victory.
Can anyone stop this amazing run by MVG ?
All eyes will be on the Dutch Master this Thursday when the Premier League resumes with 8 players remaining.
