The Premier League will be in Glasgow this Thursday night and Stephen Bunting is hoping his new found form will give him revenge against Peter Wright, Bunting beat Chisnall last week and a win against Wright would see him move closer to avoiding the drop from the league.
Thursday's Matches are:
Wade v Lewis
Wright v Bunting
Barney v Taylor
Huybrechts v Anderson
Chisnall v MVG
Lrewis will need to reinvent his form to get past Wade, Barney will be in deep trouble if he loses to Taylor which is more than likely, Huybrechts is playing well and Anderson will not bulldoze him away although playing in front of his Scottish fans could well decide this one, Chisnall v MVG is a great top of the bill, MVG will know Chisnall is capable of producing darts of the highest quality, however it will be the player who produces the finishing consistencey that comes out on top.
Barney needs to beat Taylor tonight.

Michael Van Gerwen beat Phil Taylor 7-3 in the battle for supremacy between these two players, MVG averaged 107.61 to Taylors 99, that and his finishing was the difference, MVg is now 1 point clear at the top of the table. Chisnall suffered a shock 7-3 defeat against Stephen Bunting , Barney lost 7-3 to Wade, Peter Wright beat Kim Huybrechts 7-5 and Gary anderson blew Lewis away 7-1 with an average of 108-98 the best of the nights play.
Last years Premier League winner Barney now shares bottom place in the table with Huybrechts and on his current form his chances of making the play off's never mind retaining his title are slim to say the least.

The Premier League will visit the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham this Thursday, top of the bill for me MVG V The Power, this should be a great match and one that could determine the year ahead for Taylor, whilst he is still playing good darts he is also being beaten more often than in the past, I know time waits for no one and Phil has been around for 20 years at the top of the pile, should time make a difference ? I say no, after all I am still playing exhibitions after 40 years, Taylor has set the bench mark for others to reach, a kind of teacher that did so without intent, he wanted to keep the top spot for himself for as long as possible and he has done a good job of doing that, now the chasing players have reached that bench mark, some have passed it and now it's Taylor who as to dig deeper than ever before to compete, the standard of darts would not be at such a high level if it was not for Taylor and I am sure on Thursday night he will be doing everything he can to show he is more than capable of regaining his position of Top Dog.
Bunting v Chisnall
Barney v Wade
Anderson v Lewis
Huybrechts v Wright

Michael Van Gerwen returned to winning ways at the Coral UK Open at Buitlins Minehead, after drawing his last two P.L. matches it was important that he found the way to win, it was far from easy in his semi-final against Andrew Gilding who hit him with 44 scores of 100 and over 10 of them maximums and an average of 108-37, the match went 18 legs MVG winning 10 of them. Peter Wright on the other hand coasted through his semi-final against Stephen Bunting winning 10-0. The final was alaways going to be tense, only last week MVG had said Wright was not professional in their Premier League match, they shared the first 6 legs and Wright did pull back to 6-5 but them MVG raced away with the next 5 legs and victory. 2015 has so far belonged to Michael Van Gerwen, he has won the Masters, 3 UK Open qualifiers, a European tour Event and now the UK Open, plus he his unbeaten in 5 Premier League matches and to top it all his current position at World No1 decided on his money earnings is close to one Million Pounds and I suspect there is a lot more to come.

Michael Van Gerwen could only manage a draw for the second week running against Peter Wright and sadly he chose to put the blame at the feet of Wright accusing him of not being professional, Wright wanting 160 hit the 2 treble twenty's to leave tops, then he turned to the crowd and jestured "make some noise" he returned to the Oche and missed, MVG thought this was intimidating towards him, in the words of commentator Wayne Mardell "Grow up Michael" instead of blaming someone else take a look at your own form which has fallen 10 pointe per throw, maybe this is the reason he only took 1 point from the match.
KimHuybrechts carried on from last week playing top class darts against Barney beating him 7-5 with an average of 105.
Phil Taylor was top of the table momentary when he beat James Wade 7-5 both players played well and it could have been reversed, good to heat Taylors ppost match interview when he stated he was playing for the money and intended to make as much as he could this year, reminiscent of myself many years ago, i always said trophy's are nice but they don't pay the mortgage or buy you a car.
Dave Chisnall showed everyone he is ready and capable of winning the P.L. Gary Anderson could only manage to win 2 legs in the match and was outclassed in the maximum department, Chisnall averaged 110 per throw and now finds himself 1 point clear at the top of the table, opnly 6 points seperate Chisnall at the top and Wright at the bottom, it really is game on.

In form Dave Chisnall will play World Champion Gary Anderson in Exeter in tonights Premier League, if both players are at their best we are in for a fast and furious match, finishing will be the key to who wins this one. Barney and Huybrechts will open the night and I expect this to be a good contest, Barney will have to be at his best to beat the improving Huybrechts. Wade v Taylor yet another match between these two stalwarts, who's turn is it to win this one ? it all depends on which James Wade turns up on the Oche, the one who want's to win badly or the one who just joins in. Lewis will take on former Lakeside champion Bunting a tough one to predict both are eager for points and places in the table, another exciting match in the making. Wright will play table topper MVG, can he withstand the power play of Van Gerwen ? I doubt it.
Tonights Premier League is sold out.
