James Wade drew with Phil Taylor in the Premier League last night at the Echo Arena Newcastle, the one point meant he would claim the last place in the top four play off's, and will face Michael Van Gerwen, in next Thursday final night at the 0'2 Arena London, Wade had top fight all the way against Taylor, but was confident from the off, his previous meeting the the PL with Taylor was also a draw. MVG meanwhile finished all hopes robert Thornton had of claiming the last place with a 7-1 victory, MVG finished four points clear at the top of the table, Taylor will play Barney in the second semi-final, and for once will not be the bookies favourite to win the title, many fancy a all Dutch final, with MVG the clear favourite to take the title, of course, Mr Taylor will I am sure have something to say about the outcome, he is the master of the big occassion, and Barney's record against him is not that immpresive, it is a dream finish to the 15 week series for SKY TV and the PDC, and the 0'2 is the perfect place to find who will be the 2013 champion.

After week 13, the Premier League table looks like this, MVG, Taylor, and Barney have qualified for the top four play off's, but James Wades double defeat, means the last place is open to 3 players in Newcastle next week, Thornton, just one point behind Wade, with a game in hand, has to play both Dutch players, MVG and Barney, a tough task, but Wade has to play Taylor, if both players are unsuccessful, Whitlock can leap frog them both with a win over Lewis, Newcastle, the unlucky venue for years ( the top 4 places have usualy been decided before this stage) will be host to a final round, that the PDC, and SKY TV, could only dream about, ticket sales should go through the roof, in this last grasp drama for the fight for the final place, who could have predicted it ? certainly not me.

Week 13 in the Premier League, will it be unlucky for some ? Hamilton and Wade play their double match week, in what could decide the top for play opff places for at least three players. MVG v Hamilton is first match on, and a draw for MVG will make him a certain qualifyer, Wade v Whitlock is the second match, a match which Whtlock must win to keep his chances alaive, Thornton v Taylor, this will be another deciding game, but with long odds, Taylor must win at least 7-1 to qualify this week, Barney v Lewis is next, Lewis at 4/1 is not generous odds from the bookies, especially in the form he has showed over the last weeks, Barney cannot qualfy this week even if he wins, Wade v Hamilton brings the curtain down, on what shoule be a very intersting nights play for some, and for others it will be the end of the campaign.

It's time to take a break from the Arrow throwing, recharge the batteries, ready for the rest of the bust year, we are off to America, The Villages in florida to be precise, from there we travel on to Hilton Head, South Carolina, the Villages are a facinating concept of retirement, 30 square miles, 40 Golf courses, 30,000 buggy riding residents, entertainment in the town squares, all in all a sublime way to spend your time, relaxing, and yet keeping busy, we use the Waterfront Inn, at Sumpter Landing, a friendly Hotel, that boasts itself, very comfortable indeed. Then on to South Carolina, and Hilton Head, meeting up with our good friends from Boston, Don and Barbara Skane, we will take in some of the superb golf, explore the plantations, and sample the highly recommended Sea Food, I am sure a few darts bars will be visited on the trip, if you live in the area, just leave a message, and who know's we may drop in. SKY on the Go, means I will keep up with the latest from the Premier League, meanwhile if you want to book a exhibition, just leave your request, business as usual.

Phil Taylor moved into second place in the Premier League Table, with a double win in week 12 of the championship, his first win over Adrian Lewis 7-2, was a clinical affair, averaging 105, his second victory over Simon Whitlock was closer than the score line suggests, 7-4, both players averaging over the 100 mark. Robert Thornton also completed a double win, beating Andy Hamilton and Adrian Lewis, 7-4 and 7-5, keeping his hopes of reaching the top four play off's alive. Barney kept up his good run of form with a 7-2 win over James Wade, and Whitlock pulled of a surprise win over Michael Van Gerwen 7-5, although MVG had the higher average, Whitlocks finishing was the deciding factor, the top four in the table after week 12 are:

Michael Van Gerwen scored a double victory last night in Sheffield, in week ten of the Premier League, first he beat Phil Taylor by a emphatic 7-3 score line, including 6 x 180, and a 103 average, then he came back at the end of the session to play James Wade, and although not quite as convincing as the first match, he won by 7 legs to 5, this leaves him 2 points claer at the top of the table with 16 points, and looking good to make the top 4 play off's. Barney beat Hamilton 7-5 to stay in second place behind his fellow Dutchman, and Wade ties in second place after beating Adrian Lewis, by a massive margin of 7 legs to 2, Robert Thornton set off in his usual high scoring style against Whitlock and could, and should have gone 4-0 in front, however Whitlock found his form at the right time, and came back to win 7-4, the extra match included at the end of each session, introduced to fill the TV viewing time, will always be a problem to the players, who have only had to prepare for one match each week, to date, now they have to come back and do it again, MVG has played his double stint, and won both matches, and that was a massive boost to his standing, and his confidence going into final matches before the top 4 play off, to see who will reach the final.
