Phil Taylor lost for the second time in two weeks of the Premier League, but this time it was outside influence that was [probably to blame, Taylor's match was last of the night, against Andy Hamilton, it was always going to be a tight game, Hamilton had beaten Taylor just a few days before in the European Classic, the match set of very even, but then it all changed, a incident in the crowd changed the whole match, a section of what appeared to be rival football fans, decided good ald fashioned banter was not good enough, and it esculated into a brawl, Taylor was fisibly detracted, and upset, Hamilton totaly ignored it, and took the match quite easily, It was inevitable this kind of behaviour would happen one day, when 8000 people from one City are put in one room, and they are opposing fans of different football teams present, darts takes second place, let's hope this is not a trend for the future. The rest of the matches where of a very high quality, Van Gerwen beat Newton by 7 legs to 4, Lewis managed to draw with Anderson, whitlocl played his best darts for a while, beating Wade 7-4, Barney and Thornton drew 6-6. The table after 6 weeks, find the two Dutch players one and two, Barney top, Gerwen two, Wade is third, and Thornton fourth, Taylor is out of the top four for the first time, but I am sure he will be back firing on all cylinders next week.

The Premier League visits Manchester tonight, and there are some interesting matches in store, first on, Van Gerwen v Newton, on paper Gerwen should be a comfortable winner, but last week he stumbled against a determined Lewis, I expect him back to winning ways tonight, Lewis takes the stage next after his win last week over Gerwen can he make it two in a row against Gary Anderson ? I expect this to be close, but a Lewis win for me, Whitlock takes on the in form James Wade, after last weeks win, Wade promised there was more to come, it's Wade for me, table topper Barney plays the resolute Thornton, Barney is in good form, and he is hitting those maximums regular, Thornton made a superb start to his Premier League debut, but has slowed down a little, I have Barney to still be top of the table at the end of the night, last on and top of the bill, Taylor v Hamilton, Taylor does not relish playing Hamilton, he is a copy image of his own style, and it works for him, he has beaten Taylor a few times, but I expect Taylor to be at his best, and take the match, even though it could be close.

It's not everyday you meet a Sheriff, well, not in England, last night at the Royal Mail Awards Ceromony, in Nottingham, it was a pleasure to meet, and share a few stories, with the Sheriff of Nottingham, Melita Byran, For you that are not familiar with Nottingham and it's history, Robin Hood and his Merry men, was reputed to live in Sherwood Forest, and would, as the story goes, rob the passing rich to pay the poor, the Sheriff was constantly in pursuit of Robin, giving us, many books and films over the years, Melita the modern day Sheriff, uses her office to promote the City of Nottingham, and it's communities, and may I say, she does it exceptionally well.
